Lineage & Relations:
Akin to most Pisces, she sometimes gives more than she asks from their friends as well as their partners. Michiru tends to be sexually delicate, and -- like most under her sign, Michiru prefers a mental and spiritual relationship with their partner over a physical one. Michiru is also intensely loyal and home-loving has remained faithful to her beloved Ruka-chan. Michiru can easily be seen as a delicate person. Her relationship with Haruka still borders on co-dependency. Right or wrong Michiru always chooses to defend her lover. Some people might see this as a flaw, but it’s something she prides herself on.
Aside from that main relationship Michiru also enjoys spending time with Hotaru-chan. Even if they are not blood related she considers the young woman to be her daughter. That being said it is not rare for her to spend time with the other for shopping trips or outings with the other two outer Sol. Michiru still spends time with the oldest Sol, Setsuna. She considers her to be both a close friend, similar to an older sister.
Lineage:
Mother: Kaiou Fuyu
Father: Kaiou Jiro

Relations:
Crush: Tenou Haruka
Love: Tenou Haruka
Rival: Yaten Kou… kinda
Enemy: Sailor Galaxia and her lackeys
Appearance:
Facial features reflect her elegant nature. Her nose is relatively proportional to her face, with a relatively straight bridge. The corners of her lips turn slightly up toward the corners, every so delicately. There is a gentle defined along the middle of her upper lip, and the bottom lip, which equals rather beautiful expressions. Her eyes are an ocean blue, closer to a stunning darker turquoise shade. Her orbs often reflect her current moods akin to the vary seas themselves. When upset they seem to darken ever so slightly. The overall shape is that of a somewhat rounded almond.
Her face has a beautiful heart sharp toward it, perfectly symmetrical, wider toward the temples and hairline, narrowing to a small delicate chin. Michiru’s skin is a flawless shade of apricot. Her clear skin is a gift from both genetics and proper care. She usually wears expensive make up made from natural ingredients. Michiru enjoys bi-weekly visits to the local day spas. There she often opts for simple treatments designed to help her maintain her skin’s health. For cosmetics she prefers shades of blues, greens and aqua's. She enjoys accentuating her eyelashes with dark hued mascara to add an extra curl. For lipstick the colors of choice are deeper pinks, or mauve's, as well as deeper berries hues for more formal occasions.
Personality:
An elegant and sophisticated, Michiru is also capable of sharp anger, and sometimes a cold disposition. Her personality and mannerisms, and even her voice reflect her proper mannerisms. Extremely talented at everything she does, she nevertheless manages it all with an inner grace that is natural and not at all affectation -- a true perfectionist. Michiru is one of the older Sol who has natural psychic powers, alerting her when danger is near. She seems to be a character with a very deep understanding of things, sometimes even surpassing the other Outer Senshi due to her unnaturally high psychic endowments.
Michiru was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces. Typical traits of Pisceans include being imaginative, sensitive, compassionate, kind. They tend to be selfless and unworldly, and are known for being intuitive and sympathetic. Many of these traits are reflected in Michiru, who is an artist, and therefore imaginative. She still holds the Aqua Mirror, a source of intuition, and has her own nature ability in the area. She is also quite compassionate, and her dedication her mission, and toward the royal family, shows her selflessness. Even though she has moved out of the palace she still makes sure to attend royal functions and such, along with smaller luncheons. Michiru still enjoys the occasional chat with the young Queen Serenity.
Michiru is also quite versatile, intuitive, has quick understanding, observant, listens well, and is somewhat receptive to new ideas and atmospheres. These qualities all combine to give this woman exceptional creative talent in the areas of music, and art. She enjoys a good swim, and it's this easy glide in a pool or the sea which serves to alleviate much of her. Michiru still enjoys her outings with Haruka. The drives on the road near the beach are among her favorite. To her there is something oh so pleasant about the feel of the rushing wind upon her skin.
Michiru is normally congenial, yet generally not social. She tends to distrust others who do not hail from her immediate circle of friends. On very rare occasions she allows her emotions to guide their heart and their mind. A main psychological flaw would be slight narcissism. She's a perfectionist – which shows in her music, art, and personal style. The aqua haired female will often go to great lengths when composing pieces. Each music composition is often inspired by the ocean it’s self. For her art she prefers to use oils. She enjoys painting various things from still life, to people, and various nature scenes. Yes – it’s safe to say she likes painting oceanic scenes too… hmmm I sea a trend here? Get it! Sea instead of see?
Abilities & Weaknesses:
Here is a list of your character's strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. Describe each one in decent detail.
Powers/Abilities
- Deep Submerge: As the ocean's waves crash around her, the water converges into a ball above her head. This orb is in the shape of the planet Neptune. She spins around and throws her heads forward, effectively launching the planet at her enemy.
- Submarine Reflection: The Aqua Mirror is used to complete this attack which shows Neptune the truth behind appearances.
- Submarine Violon Tide: As she plays, long streams of sea water form. They swirl quickly around before steaming forth toward the enemy in question. The fast moving droplets were capable of cutting through hard surfaces.
- (magical items) Deep Aqua Mirror: The Deep Aqua Mirror is one of the three sacred talismans used to bring forth the Holy Grail. The talisman is used and protected by Sailor Neptune. It's power allows Neptune to see the truth behind appearances and it shows her the enemies weakspots. It also works with her intuition to show her flashes of evil to come.
Marine Cathedrale -- her current concert violin: A violin, a expensive recreation Stradivarius and is named after "the temple of the sea". Aside from playing it in concert, she uses it in her third and final attack, which (like the instrument itself) has a French-inspired name: Submarine Violon Tide.
Weaknesses/Physical Flaws/Psychological Flaws:
- Tenou Haruka – weakness: Despite her serious focus on the mission… her lover’s well being will always be more important to her than the safety of the princess and prince – something she has yet to admit to anyone. Michiru thanks fate for brining her into the arms of the taller woman’s embrace. That being said, she will do anything and everything to stay by her side, even if it means putting her own life at risk and striking a deal with a woman who might have been the very incarnation of the devil.
- Co-dependency: Even thought she is very independent in most aspects her relationship with her lover borders on co-dependency. She will often take the taller woman’s side regardless. Often going along with any major plans Uranus may have for their mission.
- Narcissism: She has an odd obsession with her appearance. It also fuels her need for admiration… one of the slight reasons why she pushes herself extremely hard when it comes to her art work
- scars left over from the battle at the Marine Cathedral: There are a few scars along her back and torso. While most of them are not extremely promenade, the mark above her heart is… there’s where she “shot” herself in order to reveal her talisman.
- left wrist pain: after long practice sessions it is not uncommon for her wrist to hurt, with a sharp pain that radiates from the back of her hand to her fingers.
- OCD/perfectionist: Driven by light NPD, she often spends hours working on her appearance and her art. When it comes to performances it is not rare for her to set aside full days to in order to practice. She often goes to great lengths with her art, and will travel just to find inspiration.
- Intolerance: Because of her role as an outer Sol she has gained a slight intolerance of those who hail from outside the system.
- cynical: this goes hand in hand with the above. The past battles have left her a bit pessimistic. This can also show during normal conversation, depending on the subject.
History:
During the Silver Millennium Michiru was a princess of Neptune. Because of her aqua hued locks her mother named her Naiad, after the name of the water nymphs from an old myth. The girl was born into a life of privilege as the crown princess of King Prospero and Queen Thalassa. She was born in the Triton Castle, located on the moon which bears the same name. It was there that she was brought up in the traditions of old. Her lessons came via a private tutor. Any and all training would have been on a one on one basis. Though the young princess excelled at numerous subjects her music lessons were by far her favorite. She would begin violin lessons at the young age of four. The small princess would often fill the hallways with various peaceful tunes.
Growing up Naiad mainly kept to her palace on Triton. This was so she could better protect from any and all negative outside forces or invaders with the two other Princess’ of the outer system. Every now and then Kaiousei-hime would be invited to attend royal functions on the other planets. Even though she enjoyed those visits her favorite planet by far was Uranus. Her fondest memory would be the sixth birthday of Tennousei-hime, their first meeting. She became instantly fascinated with the other girl. (Nonetheless, the other princess might have found her a bit too prissy?) When time of present gifts the young girl offered the other princess a stunning yet elegant violin sonata. From that point on she became friends with the other, keeping in touch via letters when the two were unable to meet in person. While Kaiousei-hime began to develop a small crush on the other, it’s unclear if her feelings were returned.
On a seemingly calm evening she and the other outer senshi were summoned to the palace. They arrived as serious battle neared to a close. With the use of the sacred talismans, they hailed Sailor called forth Sailor Saturn from her slumber. The resulting action lead to Neptune’s death, her form was not able to withstand the battle. Her soul would be reincarnated on Earth. Sadly Neptune never found out the final outcome of the latter fight.
Born in the upscale, seaside city of Kobe, Michiru Kaiou is descended from a wealthy family. Her father's family gained their wealth from the booming shipping import industry. Michiru's mother also hailed from a rich family. The woman was brought up in a somewhat traditional sense. Her father would later move his family in the Tarumi-ku, a western suburban area of Kobe. Sadly he would spend little time with his family due to long business trips.
Nonetheless Michiru was brought up to appreciate the fine arts, such as classical music, classical performances both western and Asian, as well as paintings, and fine sculpture. Her mother would often taking her to various concerts, plays, including those of European influence.
A musical prodigy, she started to play violin at the young age of four. When she turned ten, her family would later move toward a city closer to Tokyo. The Mrs. Kaiou sent their budding young daughter to Seitoku Gakuen-- a private Junior high school in the city, shortly after her 13th birthday. After Seitoku Gakuen, Michiru would transfer to Mugen Gakuen. She current resides an upscale apparent – paid for by her parents.
Michiru is, more than likely, the one who fought alone before meeting up with Haruka. Unlike the inner senshi NO one was there to give her a henshin item. The knowledge of being a sol senshi came to her in a dream.
When Elza Gray, a girl who knew Haruka through track competitions, introduced Michiru to Haruka, their meeting could have been described as electric. Haruka recognized Michiru as the mysterious girl from her visions of the world's end, while Michiru, who had watched the sandy haired blond from afar for a long while, (Can we say stalker?) finally got the chance to finally meet Haruka up close. The young aqua haired female was immediately flirtatious, telling the other girl that she was interested in using her as a model for her artwork. Sadly, the other young woman declined coolly and walked off.
Haruka would later run into Michiru at an upscale party on a cruise ship, Michiru was the star violinist. The aqua haired teen came across the blond while she was focused on painting Michiru had done called "The End of the World," which strikingly mirrored her past visions. The Aqua haired violinist moved closer and began to talk with Haruka about her destiny to help prevent the world's destruction. The blond stubbornly rejected the idea of having a destiny set out for her; to this Michiru commented that she'd rather be just a violinist, but could not escape her duty.
Although Michiru would have liked for Haruka to be more accepting of her destiny, she nevertheless wished that charming racer could lead a normal life. When Haruka's transformation pen appeared before her for the first time while she is trying to fend off a youma with a crowbar, Michiru appeared and warned her not to use it unless she wanted to give up her normal life. Then, before Haruka's astonished eyes, Michiru transformed into Sailor Neptune and defeated the youma, but not before acquiring major slashes on her back and arms when she leapt to protect Haruka from harm. Haruka asked why Neptune decided to risk her arm protecting her, since a misplaced injury could have meant losing her dream of becoming a violinist. Michiru expressed her devotion and love, telling the other girl in her indirect way: "
Michiru later appeared alongside Haruka as the two mysterious, cold new Senshi who were out to get the heart crystals, which are found inside people with pure hearts. Their mission impossible was to find the three heart crystals which hold the three Talismans that. When combined they could summon the Holy Grail that defeats the threatening darkness (the Grail summoned the true Messiah, who turned out to be Usagi in the form of Super Sailor Moon). Little did Michiru and her partner know that two of the three Talismans are inside of them; Michiru held the first of the three Talismans: the Aqua Mirror, which could later be used in conjunction with Neptune's "submarine reflection" attack.
For the mission's sake, Michiru and Haruka had promised each other that they would leave the other behind if anything happened to one of them, but whenever she is put in such a situation, Michiru had a penchant for breaking that promise. She was totally devoted to Haruka that it began to border on the line of co-dependency. Michiru had risked her life countless times in order to keep her lover from danger. The most stunning example took place in the Marine Cathedral. There Sailor Neptune was gunned down - twice - by countless bullets, but nevertheless managed to keep herself going long enough to distract the witch Eudial and keep the witch from shooting her lover. In the end Neptune took the shot intended for Uranus, falling unconscious as her heart crystal was removed and become the Aqua Mirror. Haruka would have probably sacrificed Michiru for the mission but would definitely kill herself later out of grief, this was proven when she shoot her herself after Neptune's "death" to extract her own heart crystal/Talisman. It is only thanks to Sailor Pluto, who proved that the Talismans can be separated from the heart crystals they are housed in if all three Talismans are in each others' presence, that the two dying girls were revived by having their heart crystals returned to them.
At first Neptune was cold to the Inner Senshi as they were a hindrance to the mission, but Michiru was friendly to the younger girls in civilian form as they didn't know each other Senshi identities. After their identities are revealed to each other, Michiru inevitably become a bit more distant to the younger girls, although she pretty much acted the same to them: friendly and graceful. She was definitely friendlier to them than Haruka, who can take rudeness and brusqueness to the extreme - except in
Michiru and Haruka had just left the aquarium, when they were attacked by Nehelenia's mirrors. Sailor Pluto arrived, with baby Hotaru, and told Michiru and Haruka to transform, which they did. (This is the last time that we got to see Neptune's transformation sequence –
The enemies were stronger than the last and nearly defeated the three outer senshi, until Hotaru suddenly powered the three up and they become super senshi. The stronger senshi defeated the mirror enemies, but quickly recognized that they had a new mission
Sailor Neptune and Sailor Mars become paired off in Nehelenia's world, after a broken mirror split up the senshi. Sailor Neptune and Mars have a small intuition battle, a trait both were known for, and eventually Mars gave in and followed Neptune. The pair is surrounded by fire, and while Mars fliped out, Neptune calming told Nehelenia that they were not fooled by her mirages of doom.
The fire vanished, but Nehelenia took Neptune captive. Mars armed her flame sniper, but Nehelenia pulled Neptune close, so that the other would be hit before Nehelenia is. Stuck in a dilemma, Mars dropped her arrow. Neptune pleaded with Mars, and told her that one of them must stay alive to save Usagi. Mars then launched her arrow, and succeeded in hitting Nehelenia, who turned out to be only a mirror image. Both senshi passed out and are captured in the mirrors.
As the battle with Nehelenia come to a close, Neptune, and the other sol, helped Eternal Sailor Moon to heal the Dark Moon Queen and send her back to the past for another chance to live her life the way she should have.
From that time after she was allowed to work on her art… but that would soon change. She and her partner Uranus appeared more frequently, especially in the battle against golden senshi. Michiru and Haruka were the first to leave the shrine after Galaxia's invasion, and head to Galaxy TV, Galaxia's base. They meet up with Hotaru and Setsuna, who both felt that between the four strongest outer senshi, one of them would be able to defeat Galaxia. The next time the outers were walking through the television station. They arrived at a room with multiple TV screen where they witnessed the deaths of the inner senshi.
Chibi-Chibi's power allowed the outers to pull Sailor Moon and Starlights from Galaxia's throne room. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune headed to the golden queen's throne room to defeat her. Sailor Neptune's deep submerge attack is blown away at the swipe of Galaxia's arm. She easily stopped Haruka's space sword as well, and cracked the blade with her bare hands. Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn arrived just in time to stop Galaxia from taking Neptune and Uranus's starseeds.
The golden queen, however, quickly defeated all four outer senshi. She offered them a choice, die or surrender their star seed and work for her. Sailor Pluto and Saturn immediately said they would never work for gold lovin' senshi. Uranus, however, expresses interest and said, "Working under Galaxia and becoming wild doesn't seem too bad. If I can be with you, I won't hesitate to sell my soul to the devil." Neptune is flattered and agrees. The two surrendered their starseeds to Galaxia, and receive her power in exchange.
The golden senshi then ordered Sailor Neptune and Uranus to take the starseeds from Sailor Pluto and Saturn. Pluto asked Neptune and Uranus why they are did what they did. Neptune replied, "You know why," and Uranus said, "This is how we fight." She and Neptune then took Saturn and Pluto's star seeds. The two outer senshi simply closed their eyes and accepted their deaths. Sailor Moon and the starlights arrived just in time to see Saturn and Pluto fade away. Sailor Moon could not believe that Neptune and Uranus are on The Golden Senshi's side.
Uranus and Neptune had a short conversation with Moon, in which she told the outers to stop, that they were friends. Neptune and Uranus laughed, telling Sailor Moon that they would take her starseed before she could feel any pain, because they were friends. Sailor Moon told Neptune and Uranus that she still believed in them. Galaxia then told Neptune and Uranus to wait. She asked Sailor Moon if she still believed that the planet will be saved. Moon replied that she did, and the golden senshi told her new minions to show Sailor Moon reality. Uranus used her new power to plunge Usagi into a dream world where she is told by her friends that the battle is over and that everything was just part of the plan to defeat Galaxia.
The dream did not last long and Sailor Moon awoke to find herself inside Galaxy TV, however, Moon still believes her dream was reality and rushes Uranus asking her about the plan. Uranus replied by cruelly slapping Sailor Moon. The starlights then arrive, awakened from their nightmares, and Uranus sarcastically asked them if they enjoyed their nap. Fighter told Uranus that her power come from Galaxia
"Those words don't sound like you want to beat Galaxia. Do you think you can defeat Galaxia if you can't beat us." Uranus insulted Fighter, who attacked Uranus and manages to land a single punch in her stomach. Uranus is surprised and softly said, "You can do it alright," before punching Fighter and sent her flying across the room. Neptune and Uranus then both simultaneously attack, yelled "Deep Submerge," and "World Shaking." They practically blew the roof off of Galaxy TV, which sent the starlights and Sailor Moon flying to the roof.
Galaxia reappeared and ordered Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus to take their starseeds. The two senshi lifted their arms in the air, ready to follow the golden clad woman's command. Suddenly their eyes turned from glazed over to normal and together they turned around and send their attack at Galaxia. The golden queen, however, does not have a star seed, and Uranus and Neptune's attack failed.
Galaxia was surprised that the senshi of Earth were strong enough to resist her control. She laughed, as if she enjoyed the deception, and removed Neptune and Uranus's bracelets. Neptune and Uranus excepted their fate - they were going to die and would go to hell for betraying their friends, or would be reborn as lesser beings… even if for the right reasons. They fell to the floor, and Fighter yelled at Uranus that they couldn’t just leave Sailor Moon.
Uranus turned her head as she fell so that she is looking toward the starlights and Sailor Moon. She said, "Fighter what you're trying to protect isn't space, peace, and the future, is it? From now on you want to protect her..."
As they faded away, Neptune barely recalled struggling to reach out to touch her lover's gloved hand one last time. They succeed in doing so for a moment, before they faded away – akin to a soft morning mist, and left Sailor Moon to cry for her lost friends. [Insert happy ending with everyone coming back to life… oooh not a twist!?]
Outer Senshi are finally able to get in a bit of family time once their lives had been restored. Haruka took her family to calm setting. They sat side of the wind senshi’s yellow convertible watching shooting stars streak across the darkening evening sky. After asking Setsuna what she wished for, Hotaru hopped off the side of the car and then went to Michiru and Haruka to ask them what they wished for. The aqua haired female pointedly leaned into Haruka and said that they didn't need to wish for a thing, as they were perfectly happy already…
RP Sample:
Michiru’s eyelids fluttered to a close for a moment while she focused on the gentle notes that followed from her violin. Again, she looked very much at ease, as the others sitting near her. The piece they were playing was something Michiru had written for the current season. Sense the aqua haired woman no longer had to worry about senshi duties, she found herself with more than enough free time to work on the song. No matter, there was something nice about hearing something she had written being performed. The aqua haired female also enjoyed working with the other three. This, after all, was not the first time they had worked together. The last time they meet was for a charity performance. Little by little the sound of the sound of the two violins faded away gently to allow the viola and cello to take the main and counter melody for a brief duet. Notes were pleasing to the ear, in perfect harmony… nearly flawless. The larger of the two instruments played a rich counter melody which sounded close to the simple tune Michiru started the song with. It was slow, yet steady… laced with perfectly held out notes to moving notes which mirrored that of a steady moving spring breeze. Meanwhile the viola’s part was somewhat livelier, yet not overly so as to distract from the other tune. It almost brought to mind children at play among the blossoms.
Even thought she enjoyed performing before larger crowds there was something pleasant about playing before a smaller audience. There were no massive stage lights keeping her from focusing on the expressions of those listening. The current spring scene the park provided was far more charming than many a stage she had been on. Ah, there was something charming about the way the blossoms almost appeared to move in sync with the song being played. Michiru also adored watching the people’s reactions to the various notes being played. Their facial expressions along gave hints to the emotions that were stirred by the music. A weak smile could be seen along Michiru’s features. During the small break she allowed her gaze to shift out towards the few people who had gathered. There was a good chance most of them were simply passing through or there to enjoy the Sakura.
The violinist besides Michiru reentered as the tempo began to increase ever so slightly. The key changed to a minor giving the song a slightly darker mysterious feel. The overall peaceful spring day the song was trying to emulate gradually shifted to something that mirrored a sudden storm. All at once Michiru reentered with a serious of high pitched notes. While the shortly played notes were anything but jagged they brought to mind thunder and wild bolts of lightning. The tempo increased as song reached a brilliant crescendo before gently dying away. A brief moment of silence followed before Michiru began to play, the notes were slow... legato, played with such feeling. This simple style made her a well known musician.
