Appearance:
Lind has short light blue hair expect for a small part of it on the right side which she had left long after cutting the rest off herself. The part that's still long reaches down to her stomach. She also wears small gold loop earrings in in each ear. Lind has 3 blue dots on her forehead and a single blue cirlce on either cheek.
As a goddess belonging to the combat division, Lind's primary dress is a all white battle uniform with dark blue trim. It features gold armored white gloves and boots. Her white shirt comes down to her stomach before splitting off to go down both left and right sides leaving the front and back open. you can see on the inside its dark blue.
On the back of her shirt a diamond shaped hole takes up most of the space. There are three gold strips on each of her arms Lind seems to use these to trigger the last-resort boosts. Just above the triggers on both arms are two long strips of that's attached to the shoulders of her suit which hang down to her ankles. It's also white on the outside and dark blue on the inside much like her shirt. The whole thing evidently designed for mobility, which is important in combat.
Personality:
Very serious and straightforward, Lind is almost business-like in her dealings with people. Her nature can be best understood in the context of her job. Lind belongs to the Combat Division of Heaven, a group of goddesses called Valkyries who undergo training so violent few others can take it. It is thus understandable that Lind's duty and socialization do not exactly mix and match. However in Lind's case, this is not the end of the the story.
The second part of Lind's story started in the past, during her acquisition of an angel. Normally, a single angel is born from an angel egg but in Lind's case, her angels were twins. It seems Lind had always known this from the start but she could only call one (Spear Mint) to come forth. Knowing that it takes power to support one angel, Lind assumed that she lacked the strength to support two. She thus pushed herself to undergo the harshest training, eventually earning the reputation for being a goddess of extreme violence.
Despite Lind's harsh training, it seems this didn't leave her completely jaded. Belldandy asks Lind if she could feel the life overfilling the world. Instead of simply answering "yes or no," Lind discerned the point of Belldandy's inquiry and answers with "Belldandy...I have an emotional face too." However it seems that Lind's training had buried that aspect of her personality. Belldandy asks Lind to smile and she peers into a mirror and asks herself "how was it that one makes smiles?" Lind rediscovers how it is to smile, and here expresses more emotion than before.
In a somewhat surprising move just before her depature, Lind asks Keiichi if she could call him her lifelong friend. She was thankful to Keiichi for showing her that what she needed was trust, not strength, in order to bring out Cool Mint. In addition, Lind was quite impressed at Keichi for using her second angel effectively. Interestingly, Lind was apparently a little more than impressed at Keiichi since at the very end, she feels was a bit jealous of Belldandy.
Abilities & Weaknesses:
Powers/Abilities
- Flight- Like all goddess Lind is able to fly from place to place.
- Quarantine- It would seal anyone who crossed the boundary unconditionally, though the goddesses could do a dimensional jump to bypass it if necessary.
- Demon Quarantine-This quarantine reflects all demonic powers and thus prevents any demon from getting in or out. It can only be unlocked by the goddess who created it.
- Force Push-It apparently does not inflict any damage other than what could be caused by being thrown back.
- Last-Resort Boosts-This is a special ability that only battle goddesses (Valkyries) seem to possess. It gives a significant amount of extra power for a period of time. There are a total of six boosts, which can be used simultaneously but at the risk of the goddess permanently damaging her body. (It is uncertain if the stripes on the shoulders of Lind's uniform are the boosts themselves or the triggers, but Lind holds them when activating the boosts)
- Energy Attacks-As with all the goddesses, Lind also uses energy attacks. Rind only used an energy beam once in her debut arc but it smashed the entire temple below to pieces.
- Ougon no Hitomi ("Golden Eye")- This is Lind's special attack in which she spins her body like a tornado. It is extremely fast, with the opponent having barely any time to defend against it. Rind used this to severe the legs of the Angel Eater holding her angel. It also sent chibi Hild flying to the ground, her clothes in tatters.
- Flying Kick-Lind executed this by flying high into space and rushing toward the ground at what looked liked supersonic speeds. The attack was so powerful that Belldandy had to shield Keiichi from the shockwave with her body.
- Transport Medium: Lind uses windows to get from place to place quickly
- Angels: Spear Mint and Cool Mint are probably the most unique of these symbiotic heavenly hosts. The two look identical to each other because they are twins born from the same angel egg. For the same reason each only has a single wing (Spear Mint being left-winged and Cool Mint being right-winged).
When Rind was weaker in power, she thought that she only had one angel, although she later realized she had two. However, even after undergoing rigorous training to gain power, she was unable to call out her second angel Cool Mint. It seems that other goddesses in Heaven were unaware that Rind had a second angel and she came to be known as "one-winged Rind." Even Hild knew of that Rind was called this, though she was also unaware that Rind had a second angel. Note that the fact that Rind can support two angels simultaneously indicates that she has considerable strength. - Ice Elemental Magic: Lind's angels, Spear Mint and Cool Mint belong to the domain of Ice and thus Lind is able to wield Ice magic.
- Lind is also able to control fire and lightning beams perfectly even though her elemental domain is ice
---------Equipment: - Battle-axe Attacks-Battle goddesses favor axes as their main physical weapons, of which at least 18 variations are known. These battle-axes do not appear to have any special powers though they can be transformed from one type to another. Rind mentioned that battle axes are actually "safety equipment" - as long as they use them, the opponent's safety is guaranteed.
Weaknesses/Physical Flaws/Psychological Flaws:
- Lind has trouble expressing her emotions and therefor rarely smiles.
- Lind is willing to die to protect the goddess that is after all her duty to keep them safe by any means.
- Last-Resort Boosts can permanently damage her body and she would no longer be able to fight.
- Even though Lind is a Goddess she can still die if enough damage is done to her.
- Before she was able to summon both angels she was able to still move after having them remove however she might go into shock if their removed now that she can summon both of them.
History:
Lind is the fifth Goddess to appear in the series. Lind is a Valkyrie, a member of the battle division of Heaven. Like the Goddesses Belldandy and Peorth, Lind carries a First Class License. However, unlike the other two, Lind's license is classified as "Special Duty, Unlimited", which denotes her position as a Valkyrie.
In an unlikely turn of events, Lind obtained twin angels, Spear Mint and Cool Mint, though at first she could only call upon one of them at a time, causing her to be teased all throughout Heaven and Hell. Frustrated by her 'weakness' and resulting inability to call forth her second Angel, Lind threw herself into Valkyrie training with incredible ferocity. This intense training gained Lind the reputation as a Goddess of extreme violence.
Eventually, she is able to call out both her angels by realizing that she lacked a belief in herself and a trust towards others during her fight with the Angel Eater planted inside of her by Hild in an attempt to replace her angels with devils. She has since become more open and smiles often. She has also established close friendships with Keiichi Morisato and Belldandy.
