 I don't believe in fate but the bottom line,
It's time to pay,
You know you've got it coming...For eons, good and evil have always clashed. Gods versus devils. Demons versus angels. Brethren versus brethren. Ever since The Almighty's hosts of Heaven, led by Michael, cast his rebellious subject Lucifer down from that of the great echelons of Paradise. A paradise forgotten by the eyes of both beast and man. We as humankind are no different from such warring factions and have waged war, with its atrocities and horrors since the first men evolved from our blue island named Earth.  x  x  x  As human history continues to trudge forward, with the creation and progress of civilizations...something happened that opened the eyes of the ancients and turned their gaze upon humanity once more. In the human year of A.D. 1945, an endeavor called "The Manhattan Project" had come to realization with its first test at a small outpost in the New Mexico desert. Humankind had reached its first pinnacle: harnessing and controlling nuclear power. The same power that is held by the stars. With such power, however, comes attention from beyond our small human comprehensions. Through the years, the battles between light and darkness are intensifying, as evident in the events from the later half of the Twentieth Century. And slowly but surely, as men start to notice that happenings may not appear as they seem, heroes and villains played their parts in this shadow war that would prelude to our present time. As of this current year, A.D. 2012, more strange occurrences have been happening. Strange creatures are appearing more frequently, while influenced minds shift the balance towards one final confrontation. Insert Tsukino Usagi, the once proud heroine dedicated towards fighting the forces of darkness. After her victory against Chaos had been accomplished years ago, nothing had changed for the better. The world had gotten scarier, as if mankind was on a collision course towards imminent doom with threats, wars, and rumors of wars headlining the many media outlets. After years of inactivity and sensing a new danger, a more battle hardened Sailor Moon takes up the fight again.  x  x  x  However, she fights this battle alone and comes to terms that something bigger lurks behind the shadows after each physically and mentally draining skirmish. It is then that other reports of mysterious people come in, giving the aging Sailor Senshi hope for allies in this new fight. Reports of sword-wielders from the past, vigilantes from abroad, wonders of technology, and mysterious heroes along with the opponents flood in from that of Tokyo and other parts of the world. It is then that Usagi must complete the improbable task of bringing these "heroes" together and help answer questions about the state of the world going on around them all. Meanwhile, as alliances are starting to form...the main pinnacle is being achieved... those same eyes from beyond are focusing upon humanity and are now making their presence known. The pieces are in place and the players are indeed in play. Nothing will be held back and the conflict to end all is beginning to come to a head. The gods and devils will clash again. This time, however, everything lies in the balance. Eschatology is the study of the end of days...will we be ready for those said end of days? Or is the Apocalypse coming to realization and be the end all to everything? Take up the fight and take your side... ...For all we know, the world will never be the same. |
